Roles & Responsibilities/Job duties:
- Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce and repair hydraulic cylinder components.
- Perform honing, and polishing processes to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Measure and inspect finished components to ensure they meet precise tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety procedures.
- Fabricate, repair, and modify hydraulic cylinder components
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/woman (or equivalent experience in manual machining).
- Experience working with hydraulic components is an asset.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-precision measurements.
- Strong understanding of metals, machining techniques, and finishing processes.
- Basic set of hand tools (specialty tools provided by the company).
